LED Information Program (LIP)

LGSP-LED is an eight-year (2008-2016) collaborative Program of the Governments of the Philippines and Canada, through the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). LGSP-LED envisions vibrant, investor-friendly and tourist-attractive local economies, and is geared towards strengthening the enabling environment for good governance and sustainable local economic development.

National Component

LED Information Program (LIP)

The Local Economic Development (LED) Information Program (LIP) is a web-based tool that will make information available on trends, opportunities and practices on LED to facilitate analysis and utilization of data and information for various purposes. The LIP will build on existing databases and available information sources. As an information program, the LIP will collect, share, provide analytical tools, and guide users on using LED information for decision-making.

The LIP is being developed by the DILG with technical assistance from the LGSP-LED. Within the DILG, the LGA is designated as the main office to facilitate the LIP development.
